The central government released the first installment of central share from SDRF – Rs 180.40 crore – to the state on July 10 to help the flood affected people of Himachal Pradesh. was issued to The statement said that to deal with the situation arising out of flash floods, cloud bursts and landslides in Himachal Pradesh, the Central Government has provided all necessary logistic and financial assistance to the State Government. It said that 11 teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) along with boats and other necessary equipment have been deployed for rescue operations. 

‘Army deployed for rescue of people’
To deal with the disaster in Himachal Pradesh and to secure the people, the government has deployed army personnel in Paonta Sahib And two Mi-17V5 helicopters have also been deployed for this operation. 

The central government has also constituted Inter-Ministerial Central Teams (IMCTs) to assess the relief work being carried out by the Himachal Pradesh government and on-the-spot assessment of the ground situation. These teams will start field visits on July 17.
